BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – HCU senior
Edouard Lecrivain raced to a new program record time in the 800 meters and
Dadrian Calhoun earned an event win in the triple jump as the Huskies' track & field team concluded the Texas A&M 44 Farms Team Invitational on Saturday at EB Cushing Stadium.
Lecrivain put his name in the HCU record books for the fourth time between the 2025 indoor and outdoor seasons with a stellar performance in the men's 800 meter invite. Lecrivain placed eighth with a time of 1:47.98 to break
Alex Piquart's record set last year. Lecrivain currently sits 11
th on the NCAA West performance list, and 26
th nationally, in the event.
Calhoun, meanwhile, earned his triple jump win with a leap of 15.88m/52-1.25 (+3.2) that marks a PR for the sophomore and is presently fifth-best in the NCAA West Region. Teammate
Josh Gillis-Harry also jumped to a new PR mark of 15.45m/50-8.25 (+2.3) that is 18
th-best in the region.
Destiny Quintanilla recorded a fourth-place finish in the women's 3,000 meter steeple, finishing in 11:11.97.
Benny Haywood and
SJ Marais set new PRs in the 110 meter hurdles with Haywood running a 14.12 (+3.9) while Marais raced to a time of 14.38 (+3.7).
In the high jump, on the women's side the HCU duo of
Chimaoge Nwokedi and
Kennedy Doakes both cleared a top height of 1.67m/5-5.75.
Kade Stevens, meanwhile, posted a top mark of 1.99m/6-6.25.
Next up for HCU is the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. from Wednesday, Apr. 16, through Friday, Apr. 18.
