MGOLF: Huskies Set for Final Tune-Up Before Conference

HCU heads to Arkansas State Intercollegiate ahead of Southland Championship

JONESBORO, Ark. – HCU men's golf will compete in its final regular-season tournament before the Southland Conference Championship, playing in the Arkansas State Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday, April 14-15. The 54-hole event will be held at RidgePointe Country Club.

The tournament, hosted by the Red Wolves, features a 10-team field that includes Austin Peay, Bradley, East Texas A&M, HCU, New Orleans, Southeastern Louisiana, Samford, Western Illinois, and Xavier. A total of 60 players will compete in the two-day event.

HCU's lineup in Jonesboro will include Brooks Pawlak, Brendon Willey, Clayton Smith, Roy Barrera, and Mason Napier. Willey brings the team's lowest individual round of the season with a 67 and holds a 74.0 scoring average across 21 rounds. Napier has recorded six par-or-better rounds and a low round of 70, while Smith looks to build on his season-best 71.

The first and second rounds will be played consecutively on Monday, with tee times starting at 7:45 a.m. The final round is set for Tuesday, beginning at 7:45 a.m. with split tee times.
