BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – HCU track & field finished day one at the Texas A&M 44 Farms Team Invitational on Friday at EB Cushing Stadium with a handful of personal bests coming on the track.
Senior
Denzel Hinds set a new PR in the 400 meter hurdles, finishing eighth overall with a time of 51.46 which was just one tenth of a second off the school record time of 51.36 set by Garrett Gibson in 2021.
Justice Artisst also posted a new PR in the 1500 meters, finishing in 3:55.58 while placing 13
th.
For the HCU women on the track, freshman
Noelle Huijser recorded a PR time of 2:16.22 in the 800 meters and finished eighth. Senior
Arlette Concepcion got in on the PR fun for the Huskies, as well, with a new personal best of 4:37.28 in the 1500m.
In field events, sophomore
Dadrian Calhoun recorded a top leap of 6.87m/22-6.50 in the long jump.
The Huskies will be back on the track at EB Cushing Stadium on Saturday, Apr. 12, for day two of the 44 Farms Team Invitational.
