HOUSTON – The full 2025 HCU football schedule was officially announced on Tuesday afternoon with the Huskies' set for another 12-game slate that features eight Southland Conference matchups.
Year two under head coach
Jason Bachtel will open at Husky Stadium against Arkansas Baptist on Aug. 30 before hitting the road for the next two games. The Huskies first travel to Richmond, Ky. for a Sep. 6 matchup with an Eastern Kentucky team that took part in the FCS Playoffs in 2024. Next, on Sep. 13, HCU is set for its first-ever game against a Big 10 opponent when the Huskies face the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Lincoln, Neb. HCU then returns home to close out non-conference play against Northern Colorado on Sep. 20.
Following a bye week, the Huskies begin SLC play with the program's first matchup against UT Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas on Oct. 4. HCU then welcomes Northwestern State to Houston on Oct. 11 before heading across the border to Louisiana to face McNeese on Oct. 18. Oct. 25 brings a visit from Southeastern before another trip back to Louisiana to take on Nicholls in Thibodaux on Nov. 1. Stephen F. Austin makes its first trip to Houston to face the Huskies on Nov. 8 for the first time since 2018 followed by another trip to Commerce to face East Texas A&M on Nov. 15. The regular season then comes to a close on Nov. 22 at Husky Stadium against defending SLC champion UIW.
