HOUSTON – The HCU women's soccer team is back at Sorrels Field this Sunday afternoon for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff against Tarleton State for the team's final home non-conference game of the season.

HCU (1-4-2) fell on Thursday, Sept. 12, to 14th-ranked Texas, 3-0, snapping a three-game unbeaten streak that included a pair of home draws and a 2-1 win at Southern. Junior Alexa Huerta leads the team with two goals and two assists for six points while fellow junior Emily Jaimes also has a pair of goals. The Huskies have also gotten goals from Katie Marker, Jessica Marker and Alexia Murillo.

Tarleton State (4-3-3) comes to town with a 3-1-2 mark on the road this season and a 1-1-3 record against Southland Conference opponents. On Thursday, the Texas lost at Northwestern State, 1-0. TSU is led offensively by sophomore Lauren Grissom, who scored four goals in a game against Austin College but hasn't played in the month of September. Junior Jaycie Bass has six points (1 goal, 4 assists). Mikayla Kendall, a junior, has started every match in goal with an .891 save percentage and a 0.69 goals against average.
