WSOC: Huskies Fall to 14th-Ranked Longhorns

Emmy McKeon registers a career-high nine saves



AUSTIN, Texas – On Thursday evening at Mike A. Myers Stadium, the HCU women's soccer team fell to 14th-ranked Texas by a 3-0 final score.
 
The Longhorns (7-0-1) took a lead in the sixth minute on a goal by Lexi Missimo. Freshman goalkeeper Emmy McKeon totaled seven saves in the first half and the Huskies (1-4-2) went into the half trailing 1-0. Texas added a pair of goals in the second half for the 3-0 final.
 
The Huskies were out-shot 31-2 by the hosts with Alexa Huerta and Katie Marker attempting shots for HCU. McKeon ended he night with a career-high nine saves in the loss while Chloe Bagshaw had three saves after subbing in for McKeon.
 
The Huskies get back to it on Sunday, Sept. 15, at Sorrels Field against the Tarleton State Texans at 1:00 p.m.
