FB: Suits Signs Contract with New York Jets

The HCU quarterback signs a three-year deal

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Former HCU quarterback Colby Suits has signed a contract with the New York Jets following an invite to participate in the team's rookie minicamps.

Suits joins teammate Jalyx Hunt, who became the first-ever player drafted out of HCU when he was selected in the third round by the Philadelphia Eagles in April, as players from the 2023 team heading to the NFL. Additionally, former Huskies Caleb Johnson and Bailey Zappe are currently on NFL rosters with Johnson a linebacker with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Zappe a quarterback with the New England Patriots.

In his lone season with the Huskies, Suits guided HCU to the best season in program history. The senior signal caller finished the 2023 year with 1,919 yards passing with 13 touchdown passes while also rushing for four scores. He threw for a season-high 282 yards on 16-of-27 passing in a road win over Southeastern while also running for a score.
