Champ Dozier picked up the first Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week award for the 2023 season after rushing for three touchdowns in HCU's opening 66-0 win over Arkansas Baptist on Saturday.
Dozier made a splash in his debut for the Huskies, rushing 11 times for 97 yards. He broke three touchdown runs of 19 yards, 16 yards and 23 yards as the HCU offense piled up the program's third-highest point total in program history.
Dozier and the Huskies face FBS foe Western Kentucky this coming Saturday, Sep. 9, in Bowling Green, Ky. at 6:00 p.m.
