MONROE, La - HCU hits the road this week to compete in the ULM Invitational hosted by the University of Louisiana at Monroe. The 54-hole tournament will be hosted at the 6082-yard Bayou Desiard Country Club with 36-holes of play on Monday, April 3rd, followed by the final 18-holes on Tuesday, April 4th.Â
Senior
Elise Parel will lead the team line up this week after being selected as the Southland Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for the second straight month (February and March) after securing back-to-back-to-back tournament victories at the Islander Classic, UTRGV Invitational and HCU Husky Invitational. Parel leads the Huskies with a 72.42 stroke average across 24 rounds.
The Huskies will also send out sophomores
Lou Rousselot and
Jackie Nguyen, Freshman
Alejandra Ferrer and Junior
Rocio Comparini. Freshman
Josalyn Keller will compete as an individual.Â
HCU will be one of nine teams competing at the ULM Invitational. The field includes ULM, SHSU, Arkansas State, South Alabama, Southern Mississippi, Missouri State, Texas A&M Commerce, and SFA.Â
HCU will play the first two rounds alongside South Alabama and Southern Mississippi, teeing off on holes 6 through 10.Â
