HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Houston Christian women's golf concluded the second round of the Diamante Intercollegiate on Monday at Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. The Huskies sit 17th at +30 as a team, dropping two spots from their opening-round position, with the final round set for Tuesday morning.
Hailey Hendershott moved up six spots on the leaderboard to sit in 59th with a total score of +7. Hendershott opened with a 76 in round one, highlighted by a steady finish on the back nine, and followed with a 75 in round two, improving her score by one stroke to close out a consistent second day for the Huskies.
Sara Pihlajamaki stands tied for 43rd at +5 through two rounds. Pihlajamaki started the tournament with an even-par 72 after a strong back nine that included two birdies, before carding a 77 in round two to stay within the top half of the field heading into the final day.
Alejandra Ferrer is also tied for 59th at +7. Ferrer began with a solid 73 that featured a one-under front nine, then posted a 78 in round two to remain in position alongside teammate Hendershott entering the final round.
Alyssa Stewart sits in 88th at +11 after rounds of 77 and 78. Stewart found consistency across both days, improving on the front nine during round two and closing with a balanced finish to keep pace with the team's overall performance.
Natcha Makmanee is currently in 95th with a two-day total of +14. Makmanee opened with a 78 and followed with an 80 in round two, maintaining composure through challenging stretches and contributing key rounds to HCU's tournament effort.

Serena Churchill matched Pihlajamaki in a tie for 43rd at +5. Churchill fired an even-par 72 in the opening round, then added a 77 on day two, highlighted by steady play across both nines to stay near the top of the
Husky contingent.
The Huskies return to the course Tuesday morning for the final round at Diamante Country Club. Hendershott will tee off at 9:21 a.m., followed by Pihlajamaki at 9:30 a.m., as HCU looks to close out its fall season on a strong note.
