SAN ANTONIO, Tx – HCU heads to the 2023 Southland Conference Tournament in San Antonio, Tx at the 6,100-yard Hyatt Hill Country Golf Club. This is the Huskies 10^th appearance in the Southland Conference tournament including victories in back-to-back seasons, 2017-2018. HCU placed in a tie for 4^th at the 2022 Southland Conference Tournament and placed third in 2021.

Senior Elise Parel will lead the team line up this week after being selected as the Southland Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for the second straight month (February and March) after securing back-to-back-to-back tournament victories at the Islander Classic, UTRGV Invitational, and HCU Husky Invitational. Parel leads the Southland Conference with a 72.42 stroke average across 27 rounds.

The Huskies will also send out sophomores Lou Rousselot and Jackie Nguyen, freshmans Alejandra Ferrer and Josalyn Keller. Junior Lucia Allub will travel as an alternate. 

HCU will be one of seven teams competing at the 2023 Southland Conference Tournament. The field includes HCU, Augusta, Bryant, Lamar, Texas A&M-Commerce, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and UIW. 

HCU will play the first two rounds alongside Augusta and UIW, teeing off starting at 9:40 a.m..
