The HCU sophomore owns the top mark in the conference in the long jump

FRISCO, Texas – HCU Sophomore Destiny Nkeonye has been selected the Southland Conference men's outdoor field athlete of the week after a PR jump at the Victor Lopez Classic this past weekend.

Nkeonye won the long jump on Saturday, Mar. 25, at the Rice Victor Lopez Classic with a PR mark of 7.42m/24-4.25. The sophomore's mark is the best in the conference so far this season and ranks him 12^th in the NCAA west region and 32^nd among all NCAA Division I competitors.

Nkeonye will be competing at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational this coming weekend.
