HOUSTON – A handful of Huskies competed on day one at the Victor Lopez Classic on Friday at the Wendel D. Lay Track on the Rice University of campus with the majority of the team's events taking place on Saturday.
Senior
Chandler Krueger placed fifth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:45.49 while sophomore
Ellisyn Davis ran the 5,000 meters in 19:29.91. In the men's 5,000m,
Isaiah Price recorded a time of 15:36.55. Spencer Blake competed in the hammer throw for the first time in his career with a top throw of 31.28m/102-7.
The Huskies will be back at it on Saturday for day two of the Victor Lopez Classic with events beginning at 11:00 a.m.
