FRISCO, Texas – HCU senior
Jessica Rabius has been selected the Southland Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week after placing first and setting a new school record in the 3,000 meters at the University of Houston Robert Platt Invitational last Friday.
In the team's first meet of the season, Rabius shone brightly while winning the 3000m by just under 17 seconds with a program record time of 9:30.24. That time improved upon her own record by nearly 14 seconds. Rabius owns the best mark in the conference in the event by almost 23 seconds and her mark ranks her first in the South Central Region.
The Huskies return to the track this Friday, Jan. 27, at the Houston Invitational across town at the Yeoman Fieldhouse.
