HOUSTON - HBU returns home to take on New Orleans in a three-game Southland Conference series Friday through Sunday at Husky Field. All three games will be shown on ESPN+ with Russ Reneau.
 
Sophomore catcher Parker Edwards enters the weekend with a seven-game hitting streak and is batting .380 for the season with six home runs, six doubles,  17 RBIs and 12 runs for the Huskies (8-17, 2-1 SLC). Junior centerfielder Austin Roccaforte is hitting .273 with five doubles, two triples, 11 RBIs, 13 runs and has a .436 on-base percentage.
 
HBU is expected to send righthanders Daxton Tinker (0-3, 6.49 ERA), Jared Burch (1-2, 3.52 ERA) and Will Ripoll (1-2, 4.55 ERA) to the mound. Senior righthander Andrew Reitmeyer (1-2, 4.09 ERA) leads the Huskies with five saves.
 
Amani Larry is hitting .362 with six doubles, three home runs, 25 RBIs and 29 runs, while Tyler Bischke is hitting .338 with five doubles, a home run, three RBIs and 14 runs for UNO (14-9, 1-2). Pearce Howard is batting .333 with four home runs, six doubles, 27 RBIs and 18 runs and Anthony Herron Jr. is hitting .303 with four home runs, six doubles, 28 RBIs and 17 runs.
 
The Privateers will likely start lefthanders Tyler LeBlanc (3-0, 4.78 ERA) and Brandon Mitchell (0-3, 4.32 ERA) and righthander Collin Horton (2-0, 2.27 ERA).
 
UNO leads the all-time series against HBU, 14-5, including a four-game sweep last season in New Orleans.
