SACRAMENTO, Calif. - HBU heads west for a four-game series against 23rd-ranked Sacramento State Friday through Sunday at John Smith Field. All four games will be shown on ESPN+.
 
Junior outfielder Logan Letney is hitting .353 for the Huskies (2-7), with a home run, a double, three RBIs, a run and brings a five-game hitting streak into the weekend. Senior infielder Jake Miller is hitting .333 with a home run, a team-leading four RBIs and four runs, while junior centerfielder Austin Roccaforte is hitting .310 with a double, a triple, three RBIs and leads HBU with five runs.
 
HBU is expected to start righthanders Daxton Tinker (0-1, 3.72 ERA), Jared Burch (0-1, 5.23 ERA), Ethan Abbott (0-2, 6.43 ERA) and Will Ripoll (0-1, 4.50 ERA).
 
Dawsen Bacho is hitting .435 with three doubles, five RBIs and six runs for the Hornets (7-1), while Jorge Bojorquez is hitting .303 with three doubles, a home run, two RBIs and five runs. Cesar Valera is batting .290 with three home runs, eight RBIs and seven runs.
 
Sacramento State is likely to start righthander Eli Saul (0-0, 2.79 ERA), lefthander Noah Lucchessi (0-0, 0.00 ERA) and righthanders Colin Hunter (1-0, 2.77 ERA) and Noah Takacs (0-1, 54.00 ERA).
 
This weekend marks the first-ever meeting on the diamond between HBU and Sacramento State.
 
The Huskies wrap up the road swing at Priairie View A&M Tuesday, before hosting Lamar Wednesday at Husky Field. HBU will be back on the road next weekend at Louisiana Tech.
