FORT WORTH, Texas – HCU senior safety Coi Miller will participate in the 2023 College Gridiron Showcase Small College Invitational January 6-8, 2023 in his hometown of Fort Worth. Houston Christian University (HCU), formerly Houston Baptist University (HBU), underwent a name change in September 2022.
 
Miller recorded 46 tackles, tied for the Southland lead with four interceptions, recovered a fumble, had a sack and three pass breakups. The Arlington Bowie High School product returned a fumble 40 yards for a touchdown in a conference victory over Lamar. Against Northwestern State, he tied the school record by becoming the third Husky to come up with two interceptions in one game.
 
The Small College Showcase is a college football all-star event for players from the FCS, Division II, III and NAIA, designed to get these athletes in front of NFL teams and other professional leagues. More than 100 scouts from the NFL, CFL and other professional leagues take part to evaluate and meet the players.
