FRISCO, Texas – HBU's
Megan Rickert has been named to the Southland Conference Women's Soccer All-Academic team for the fourth time in her career, an accomplishment unmatched by any of the other 25 honorees.
Rickert was named second team Academic All-SLC on Tuesday for the 2020 season, played this spring, after starting all 15 of the team's games and 1,374 minutes played. This season saw her move into the program's top-10 all-time in minutes played. In April, she was named third team All-SLC.
Throughout her collegiate career, Rickert has maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average while majoring in nursing. She scored her first career goal this season and totaled four assists during her time with the Huskies.
There were two three-time all-academic selections on the team but Rickert is the lone honoree to be named for the fourth time. She was a second team selection as both a freshman and sophomore and then was named first team as a junior.
