CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - HBU heads back out on the road to take on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a four-game Southland Conference series Friday through Sunday at Chapman Field.
 
Sophomore first baseman Brennen Bales is hitting .333 with five doubles, two triples, a home run, 13 RBIs and 10 runs, while junior second baseman Jake Miller has an eight-game hitting streak and is batting .310 with five doubles, a home run, 11 RBIs and 18 runs for the Huskies (9-25, 6-14 SLC). Senior rightfielder Brandon Bena has three home runs, three doubles and 15 RBIs, while freshman shortstop Sebastian Trinidad is tied with Bena for the team lead with 15 RBIs.
 
The Huskies are expected to start senior righthander Jacob Coats, sophomore righthanders Jared Burch and Daxton Tinker, with Sunday's starter to be determined.
 
Luke Marbach is hitting .356 with nine doubles, four home runs, 17 RBIs and 24 runs and Mike Williams is hitting .317 with five home runs, three doubles, a triple, 29 RBIs and 18 runs for the Islanders (13-23, 9-10). Itchy Burts is batting .312 with eight doubles, two home runs, 23 RBIs and 19 runs and Josh Caraway has six doubles, three triples, three home runs, 16 RBIs and 13 runs.
 
TAMU-CC will likely start righthander Dylan Johnson, lefthander John Gaddis and righty Hayden Thomas, with Sunday's starter to be determined.
 
The two teams squared off the final game of the shortened 2020 season, with HBU claiming an 11-6 victory at Husky Field in Houston
 
Next Up: April 30-May 2 vs. Abilene Christian at Husky Field.
