HOUSTON - HBU returns home to host Northwestern State in a four-game Southland Conference series Friday through Sunday at Husky Field. All four games will be shown live on the Husky Sports Network.
Sophomore first baseman
Brennen Bales is hitting .333 with five doubles, a triple, a home run, 11 RBIs and eight runs for the Huskies (7-23, 4-12 SLC). Junior designated hitter
Todd Jackson is hitting .322 with an RBI and four runs, while junior infielder
Jake Miller is hitting .295 with five doubles, a home run, seven RBIs and 15 runs. Senior rightfielder
Brandon Bena leads HBU with three home runs and 14 RBIs, while freshman shortstop
Sebastian Trinidad has 13 RBIs.
The Huskies are expected to start junior lefthander
Austin Spinney on Friday, with the rest of the rotation to be determined.
Daunte Stewart is hitting .298 with eight doubles, four home runs, 18 RBIs and 15 runs for the Demons (15-15, 9-7). Lenni Kunert is hitting .255 with four doubles, a home run, eight RBIs and 12 runs, while Jeffrey Elkins has hit four home runs with 14 RBIs.
NSU will likely starter rigththander Johnathan Harmon, lefthander Cal Carver and righthander Levi David, with Sunday's starter to be determined.
