COLLEGE STATION, Texas – HBU softball heads to College Station to face the Texas A&M Aggies for a midweek game after having to reschedule the previous date due to the winter storm that hit across Texas. First pitch is slated at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16. The game can be watched on the SEC Network on ESPN +.  

HBU (8-3,1-2 SLC) recently opened SLC play against the ACU Wildcats where they split the Friday doubleheader and fell in the series final on Saturday. HBU is led by Heidi Jaquez at the plate batting a .646 average. Caitlyn Brockway follows her batting a .419 with two home runs early on the season. Autumn Sydlik bats a .394 average getting her two home runs for the season in back-to-back weekends. Jasie Roberts and Riley Bullen also add two home runs each on the season. HBU currently bats .324 as a team with nine home runs on the season.  

Lyndie Swanson (1-0) posts a .45 ERA in 15.2 innings pitched with 18 strikeouts. Jessica Patak (3-3) has seen the most action for the HBU pitching staff with a 2.59 ERA in 24.1 innings pitched also with 18 strikeouts. The Huskies have seen 72 innings pitching a 1.56 with 54 strikeouts seen between the six Huskies.  

Texas A&M (17-3) have yet to start conference play with HBU being one of their two final games before starting SEC play. The Aggies are hitting .318 as a team with 28 home runs. They are led by Haley Lee batting a .464 also leading with 10 home runs and ties for first on the team with 19 RBI. 

The pitching staff has seen the most action from Makinzy Herzog (6-1) with a .68 ERA in 41.1 innings pitched and 49 of the teams 131 strikeouts. Grace Urbie has a 2.58 ERA in 38 innings pitched with 35 strikeouts. 

HBU will return home for a weekend series to continue conference play hosting Southeastern Louisiana with a doubleheader on Friday, March 19 with first pitched at 5 p.m. and a NOON game slated for Saturday, March 20 for game three.
