NEW ORLEANS – HBU rallied to tie the game in the fourth, but New Orleans bounced back with seven unanswered runs to take the Southland Conference baseball series finale, 9-2, Sunday afternoon at Maestri Field.

Sophomore righthander Daxton Tinker (0-1) took the loss for HBU (2-13, 0-4 SLC), allowing five runs, four earned, on six hits with four strikeouts and four walks in four innings.

Starter Tyler LeBlanc took a no-decision, allowing two runs on five hits with four strikeouts and three walks in four innings, while Caleb Seroski (2-1) picked up the win, shutting the Huskies out on three hits with four strikeouts in three innings.

The Privateers scored twice in the third to take the early lead, but Bena led off the fourth with a solo home run, his first of the season, then Talbot was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to force in the tying run.

UNO took the lead back in the bottom of the fourth on Gaige Howard's RBI single, then scored twice in the fifth and twice more in the seventh.

The series marked the end of a season-opening stretch of 15-straight road games for HBU, with the Huskies returning home to host McNeese in a four-game conference series Friday through Sunday at Husky Field.
