2020: Bena started all 17 games…hit .257 with a home run, four doubles, eight RBIs and four runs…finished the season with a seven-game hitting streak, during which he hit .375 with a home run, three doubles and seven RBIs…in the season finale against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3/10), went 2-for-5 with two RBIs…in the three-game series against Sam Houston, hit .462 (6-for-13) with a pair of doubles, three RBIs and two runs….in the series opener against the Bearkats (3/6), went 3-for-5 with a double, three RBIs and two runs…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Spring Academic Honor Roll.
 
2019: Earned All-Southland Conference Second Team honors…started 51 games in right field…hit .313 with five home runs, 12 doubles, a team-leading 36 RBIs, 34 runs and 20 walks…posted a .372 on-base percentage and .453 slugging percentage…recorded 16 multi-hit games…did not commit an error in 110 putouts and three assists…hit .342 in conference play…had a 16-game hitting streak from March 22 to April 16, which including six-straight multi-hit games at the end of the stretch…hit .495 from March 22 to May 10…went 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and three RBIs at Nicholls (5/5)…went 3-for-5 with a home runs, three RBIs and two runs at UIW (4/20)…went 3-for-4 with double, two RBIs and three runs at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (4/6), then followed with five straight two-hit performances against UT Rio Grande Valley (4/10), all three games against Abilene Christian (4/12-13) and at Texas State (4/16)...had three RBIs in each of the last two games against ACU…named Southland Conference Hitter of the Week on April 15…

Previous School: Played two seasons at Iowa Western Community College for coach Marc Rardin…as a sophomore, hit .382 with four home runs, 14 doubles, a triple, 45 RBIs, 45 runs, a .566 slugging percentage, .467 on-base percentage and was 9-for-9 on stolen base attempts…as a freshman, hit .311 with two home runs, seven doubles, a triple, 25 RBIs and 26 runs, a .514 slugging percentage and .448 on-base percentage.
