HBU Huskies vs. Nicholls Colonels

THIBODAUX, LA – HBU softball kicks off the season with a Southland Conference doubleheader against the Nicholls Colonels. After rescheduling and missing preseason due to Winter Storm Uri and only 22 games before COVID-19 ended the 2020 season early, the Huskies are finally back in action.
HBU last saw action with a home series against Nicholls as their last game of 2020 back in March dropping the series with a 2-1 loss. HBU won the first game 9-0 then lost the second 1-2 with another 3-4 Colonel victory to seal the weekend.
The Huskies have 14 returning players with five new additions to the roster. Eight of the returners were a part of the starting lineup when HBU last faced Nicholls. Game times are set for Noon and 2 p.m. in Thibodaux.
The Huskies will next see action for a doubleheader at Southern Miss on Feb. 28 with games times scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
