RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Cal Baptist jumped out to a 5-0 lead, then put the game away with an eight-run eighth in a 13-1 victory over HBU to sweep the non-conference baseball series Sunday afternoon at Totman Stadium.

Nathan Soriano each had two hits. Bena doubled and drove in the lone run for the Huskies (2-10).
Junior lefthander
Austin Spinney (0-4) took the loss, allowing two runs, one earned, on five hits with four walks in three innings.
Damon Keith went 4-for-5 with a double, a home run, five RBIs and a run, while Chad Castillo was 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run. Harrison Spohn was 2-for-4 with a double and scored three times and Kyle Oyama homered, drove in two runs and scored twice for the Lancers (5-5).
Matt Amrheim (2-0) received the win, holding HBU scoreless on two hits with three strikeouts and a walk in three innings of relief. Starter Jacob McCarvel did not allow a run on four hits with a pair of strikeouts in 2.2 innings.
The Huskies return home to host Prairie View A&M Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Husky Field, before beginning Southland Conference play on the road against Sam Houston State Friday through Sunday in Huntsville.
