THIBODAUX, Louisiana – The HBU Huskies fall to the Nicholls Colonels in Thibodaux, Louisiana 57-53, in Southland Conference basketball Wednesday evening.
The Huskies (6-20, 2-15 SLC) freshman

Megan Valdez-Crader both led the team in scoring 13 points each. Valdez-Crader gathered four rebounds while recording one assist and one steal. Wilson recorded one rebound and stole the ball once while shooting 50.0 percent from the field. Freshman
Abbey Sutherland scored eight points while rebounding the ball three times while gathering one assist and one steal.
The Colonels (11-16, 8-10 SLC) had two players in double digits on the night. Chrystal Ezechukwu nearly scored her second double-double of the season while scoring a game-high 19 points while gathering nine rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Ari Hamilton scored 12 points with six rebounds and led the game in assists with three and steals with four. Chelsea Cain recorded nine rebounds two assists while scoring seven points all seven coming from the free throw line.
The Huskies will return home this Saturday to battle the McNeese Cowgirls at 2 p.m. the first of a Husky double header that the Men's team finishes off the night hosting the McNeese Cowboys at 7 p.m. in Sharp Gym.
