Junior (2018-19): Appeared in 22 games with 13 starts… shot  37.7 percent from the field and 55.8 percent from the free-throw line…averaged 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per game…scored a season high 15 points against the University of the Southwest (11/27) going 5-7 from the field good for 71,4 percent shooting including 5-8 from the free-throw line, Jones added six rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block... recorded one double-double on the season scoring 10 points and grabbing 11 rebounds against Abilene Christian (1/16) shooting 5-11 from the field... opened the season with back to back 14 point games with the first coming against McMurray (11/11) and the second coming against Texas A&M International (11/14). Against McMurray Jones shot 77.8 percent going 7-9 from the field with seven rebounds, five steals and three assists. Jones followed that with a 4-11 game from the field knocking down 6-8 from the free-throw line with six rebounds and two steals.

Sophomore (2017-18): Appeared in 21 games with one start… shot a team high 49.5 percent from the field and 62.3 percent from behind the line…averaged 6.4 points and 4.2 rebounds in 15.9 minutes per game…shot for double-digits in seven games including a four-game streak …scored a career high 19 points against Northwestern State (2/14)…recorded her first career double-double with 13 points and 10 boards at Lamar (2/21)…earned Southland Conference Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Freshmen (2016-17): Jones appeared in all but one of the Huskies’ 28 games, with 13 starts… averaged 4.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 11 steals, and was third on the team with 77 total rebounds... scored a season high of 13 points and  7 rebounds at McNeese (1/7)… pulled down six rebounds and scored 10 total points at Nicholls (1/25)… against A&M Corpus Christi (2/4) she scored nine points, had 9 rebounds, adding one steal and one assist. 

High School: Jones played at Crosby High School for head coach Michelle Trotter…as a senior, averaged 15.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 4.0 steals per game…named to the TGCA, TABC and GHAGBA all-state teams…earned TABC all-region honors…led Crosby to the District 21-5A title, was named District 21-5A MVP and advanced to the state semifinals…as a junior, averaged 13.0 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in 33 contests.
 
Personal: Full name is Shannon Jones…born Nov. 18, 1997, in Bethesda, Maryland…daughter of Shannon Jones and Tangela Jackson…has four brothers: Darius, Jarvis, Chandler and Mason…has one sister, Genasis…brother, Darius, played basketball at Green River College…majoring in pre-engineering.
