AUSTIN, Texas – HBU senior
Demi Janak has been named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America
® Division I softball third team for the second consecutive year announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.
Janak led the Huskies with a .301 batting average while belting six home runs with 23 runs scored and 20 runs batted in during her senior campaign. This also marks the third-straight year in which HBU has been represented on the team with
Cecilia Bauer earning a spot in 2017.
Janak is joined on the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America team by one other Southland Conference student-athlete, Sam Houston State's Lindsey McLeod. She is the third HBU student-athlete to earn Academic All-America honors this season in addition to volleyball's Kayla Davenport and women's basketball's Amanda Johnson.
