HOUSTON- HBU Softball took down North Texas at home in a exciting finish by a score of 8-6. HBU and North Texas combined for 10 runs in the last two innings.

Emma Guindon (6-5) got the win in the circle for the Huskies giving up three runs, two being earned on eight hits, two walks, and two strikeouts in 5 innings pitched.
Jessica Patak got her second save of the season pitching the final two frames giving up 3 runs all unearned on three hits and one strikeout.
North Texas (25-13) The mean green racked up 11 hits on the day, but left 10 runners stranded on base. Nicole Ochotnicki led North Texas with a 2-4 performance driving in two runs on a single in the seventh. Jenna Goodrich did the most with her 1 at bat in the game driving in a run on a pinch hit single in the sixth. Sally Gastello added a 2-3 day with two runs scored.
Hope Trautwein (16-5) took the loss for North Texas pitching 4.2 innings giving up six runs, one earned on five hits, and striking out two. Bailey Tindell threw the final 1.1 innings giving up two earned runs on three hits and one walk.
HBU begins a 5 game road trip as they take on Nicholls in a three game Southland Conference series this weekend before a double-header against Prairie View A&M next Tuesday.
