Mary-Ellen Hall her 800th career win.
Game One: The Huskies collected 12 total hits with two homeruns to push across eight runs in the win. After falling to a quick three run deficit junior
Heidi Jaquez got HBU on the board with a solo homerun that was followed up by senior
Demi Janak's two run shot to tie the game at three. After Angel Villanueva's second three run homerun of the game the Huskies found themselves again in a three run deficit. The Huskies put together a 5 run rally in the fifth inning to take the lead for good.
Demi Janak went 1-3 with two RBI's and two runs scored.
Brooke Bushman went 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored, and
Haley Melton added a 2-3 game with an RBI.
Emma Guindon (8-6) got the win for the Huskies in the circle coming in relief. She tossed 4 perfect innings striking out four.
Game Two: The second game was a pitchers duel as the teams combined for 10 hits. The Cardinals were not able to string two hits together in any inning as Huskies' starter Elliot Estes was able to spread out the hits of Incarnate Word. Freshman third baseman
Autumn Sydlik was the only player to score as she took the UIW pitcher deep to center in the fifth inning that would be the go ahead run. Junior
Riley Bullen went 1-3 with a double, and senior
Demi Janak went 1-2 with a hit by pitch.
Autumn Sydlik went 1-3 with that solo homerun as the Huskies won 1-0.
Elliot Estes (6-6) went the distance for the Huskies in the circle spreading out five hits on 7 innings with one walk and two strikeouts.
