SB: Huskies Fall to SFA in Double-Header

NACOGDOCHES- HBU Softball dropped both games of the double-header vs Stephen F. Austin today by scores of 3-1 and 5-3. 

Game one: The Huskies could only come up with three total team hits in game one led by Caitlyn Brockway who drove in the only Husky run on a solo shot. That put her at six homeruns on the season a team high. Sierra Humphrey and Brooke Bushman collected the other two hits in the loss. 

Jessica Patak (4-7) took the loss in the circle for the Huskies as she pitched 5 innings giving up three runs, two earned on three hits and two walks. Elliot Estes came in for the final frame giving up one hit.

Game two: HBU was able to collect four hits in the game led by catcher Heidi Jaquez who went 2-3 scoring twice and a RBI on her solo homerun in the top half of the 7th. Sierra Humphrey and Demi Janak each went 1-3 to round out the Huskies hits. Brooke Bushman was able to drive in a run on an error by the second baseman.

Emma Guindon (5-3) took the loss in the circle for HBU pitching all 6 innings giving up five runs on six hits, with one walk, striking out four. 

HBU will return to action tomorrow at Noon to wrap up the series against SFA.
