NACOGDOCHES- HBU Softball fell to SFA in game three of the series by a score of 3-0.
HBU (13-12, 3-6) was limited to three hits on the day. Two of the Huskies hits were for extra bases, but HBU was unable to drive them in. Freshman
Caitlyn Brockway went 1-2 with a double and a walk, while shortstop
Demi Janak went 1-3 with a double.
Sierra Humphrey extends her hitting streak to six games with a 1-3 performance.
Elliot Estes (4-2) went the distance for the Huskies pitching 6 innings giving up three runs, two earned on six hits, and one walk.
SFA (18-13, 6-3) was able to get six hits as a team led by center fielder Brittany Crawford who went a perfect 3-3 with a RBI and a run scored. Bryanna Novegil followed her up with a 2-3 performance scoring once. Madison Clements drove in a run as well.
Kassidy Wilbur (11-9) got the win in the circle for the Lady Jacks spinning a complete game shutout. In her 7 innings she gave up three hits and one walk, while striking out eight.
HBU will return home for a three game series with McNeese starting with a double-header on Friday March 29 at 1:00P.M. with game two following approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Game three will be Saturday at Noon.
