Johnny Gonzales broke up Dallas Baptist righthander MD Johnson's no-hitter and shutout with an RBI single in the top of the seventh, but the Patriots run-ruled the Huskies with a 12-2 victory to sweep the series Saturday afternoon at Horner Ballpark.
Gonzales extended his hitting streak to four games, scoring junior centerfielder

Jeremy Simon delivered a pinch-hit single and freshman Spencer Oullette drove in the other run for the Huskies (4-7) with a groundout.
Evan Sandmann went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBIs, while Jackson Glenn went 2-for-4 with a solo shot and a double. Jimmy Glowenke went 2-for-3 and scored three times, while Augie Isaacson and Christian Boulware each doubled and drove in a pair of runs for the Patriots (8-3).

Brady Batten took the loss for HBU, allowing eight runs on eight hits in 1.2 innings.
Johnson allowed two runs on one hit with 15 strikeouts and one walk in 6.1 innings for DBU.
The Huskies begin a five-game homestand by hosting Lamar in a non-conference matchup Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Husky Field.
