COLLEGE STATION - No. 23 Texas A&M scored three runs in the bottom of the first and didn't look back in a 12-5 victory over HBU in non-conference baseball Tuesday night at Blue Bell Park.
The Huskies (4-4) got solo home runs from junior rightfielder
Brandon Bena and junior catcher
Matt Solomon, each their first home run as a Husky. Junior centerfielder
Chase Talbot singled and scored twice.
Five different players each had two hits for the Aggies (8-1). Logan Foster went 2-for-5 with three RBIs and a two runs, Braden Shewmake went 2-for-6 and drove in a pair, Will Frizzell went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run, as did Aaron Walters. Bryce Blaum went 2-for-4, walked twice and scored twice.
Senior
Daniel Endsley (0-2) took the loss for HBU, allowing six runs, five earned, on five hits with five strikeouts and five walks in 3.1 innings.
Chandler Jozwiak (1-0) picked up the win, leaving after 80 pitches, and allowing one run on two hits with eight strikeouts and two walks in 4.1 innings.
The Huskies return to action when they travel to face Dallas Baptist in a three-game series Friday through Sunday in Dallas.
