EDINBURG, Texas – UT Rio Grande Valley scored three in the first and two in the third as HBU managed only three hits in a 6-0 loss in non-conference baseball Tuesday at UTRGV Stadium.

Anthony Jones singled and has hit safely in each of the first four games for the Huskies (2-2). Junior first baseman

Jeremy Simon also singled, with Simon recording his first career hit at HBU.
Senior righthander Daniel Endlsey (0-1) took the loss, allowing five runs on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks in 2.1 innings. Junior lefthander
Brent Pronger hurled 4.2 scoreless innings in relief, allowing five hits, striking out one and walking one.
Aaron Galvan went 2-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs for UTRGV (2-2), while Andy Atwood went 2-for-6 with a double, an RBI and a run. Conrado Diaz was 2-for-3 and scored a run and Joacob Flores was 2-for-4 with a double an RBI and a run.
Jerred Quartier (1-0) earned the win, giving up one hit, striking out three and walking one in four innings. Three other Vaqueros combined to hold the Huskies scoreless over the last five, including three shutout innings by Juan Carreon II.
