HOUSTON, TX- HBU Women's Basketball fell to the Houston Cougars by the score of 60-82 on Sunday afternoon.
HBU (2-2) was led by
Megan Valdez-Crader who scored 11 points on 3-10 shooting and going 5-8 from the line.
Asta Julia Grimsdottir backed her up with nine points and five rebounds.
Kennedy Wilson and
Julija Vujakovic added seven points each. As a team the Huskies shot 35.7 percent from the field and 20-30 from the free throw line. HBU was able to score 36 points in the paint with 32 total points coming from their bench.Â
Houston (2-2) were led by Tatyana Hill who scored a game high 19 points to go with five rebounds. Jasmyne Harris was just behind her with 16 points and adding four assists. Dorian Branch led the Cougars with nine rebounds to go with her eight points. The Cougars were able to out rebound the Huskies 49-39 while scoring 40 points in the paint. Houston were able to make 7-25 from three point range and 15-23 from the free throw line.
HBU will next travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma November 23rd to face off with Oral Roberts and then they will head to Wichita, Kansas to take on the Shockers of Wichita State.
