WACO, TX- HBU Women's Basketball fell to Baylor on the road Thursday night by a score of 112-42.
HBU (2-1) the Huskies were led by
Lauren Calver and
Patience Idoko. Calver led HBU in scoring with 11 points on 4-11 shooting. Idoko was able to score seven points to go with her four rebounds. HBU again showed their depth as the bench was able to score 35 points.
Baylor (3-0) was led by Te'a Cooper who recorded a double-double with 23 points and 10 assists, while adding four steals. Queen Egbo contributed 21 points and six rebounds while Nalyssa Smith scored 16 points and seven rebounds. The Lady Bears were able to outrebound the Huskies 44-30 which led to 21 second chance points. The Baylor bench also proved to be a strong point for their team as they combined for 39 points. The Lady Bears also locked down on defense forcing 28 turnovers leading to 43 points.
HBU will go to Houston to take on the cross town rival Cougars Nov. 17th at 2:00 P.M.
