Seven new Huskies are set to join Misty Jones’ squad for the 2020 season

HOUSTON – HBU head women's soccer coach Misty Jones has announced the addition of seven new Huskies for the 2020 season.

"This is an extremely talented recruiting class," said Jones. "I want to thank coach Chris Dodd for logging many hours on the road, recruiting this class. They have a high soccer knowledge and are fantastic competitors. These student-athletes embody what we look for in our players and will make a positive impact on and off the field. The addition of these seven players to our 21 returners should push us back into the win column next year."

Angela BaltimoreAngela Baltimore, a 5-7 midfielder from San Antonio, will join the Huskies from Reagan High School where she plays for head coach Kate McCollum. She has earned multiple all-district honors and was an all-state selection as a sophomore and academically is a member of the National Honor Society. She has played club for Classic Elite and coach Dennis Chavarria and scored the game-winner in the 2017 National Cup Championship.

"Angela has a strong presence in the middle of the field. She is composed and does a nice job of connecting passes and maintaining possession in the midfield. She will fit right into our style of play."

Terin GrahamTerin Graham, from Tompkins High School in Katy where she plays for coach Jarrett Shipman, is a 5-4 defender. She has helped the Falcons reach the Texas 6A finals twice and the regional finals once as a two-time all-region selection and three-time first team all-district honoree. She has played club for Albion Hurricanes and coaches Danny Hill, Ben Williams and Rafael Brazo, earning club player of the year honors.

"Terin is a speedy attacker with fantastic skill. She is a versatile player, spending some time in the back for her club team as well. However, we anticipate that she will spend her time with us being a dangerous attacker."

Caroline HavardCaroline Havard is a 5-4 forward/midfielder from Prosper, Texas and attends Prosper High School where she plays for head coach Taylor Baca. She was named team defensive MVP as a junior, is a two-time all-district selection who has helped her team to at least the area finals of the state playoffs the last three years. Havard has also twice earned academic all-district laurels. She plays club for Sting ECNL Composite 00/01 and coach Trini Bourunda, finishing 2018 as ECNL runners-up.

"Caroline has incredible speed. She is a talented outside player who will be a force as both a winger and an outside back. She is a strong, high energy player who will add to our depth on the flanks."

Katherine LazorHailing from nearby Missouri City, Katherine Lazor is a central defender from St. Thomas Episcopal where she plays for coach Rachel Neese and helped lead the Saints to a 2019 state championship. "Kat is a smart, athletic and strong defender. She is tough to be one-on-one and does a great job of reading the game and has good positional awareness. She likes to connect passes out of the back and is strong on set pieces. We anticipate that Kat will make an immediate impact on our back line."
