HOUSTON – HBU will host the first-ever Southland Showcase, featuring the five Southland Conference schools that sponsor beach volleyball, Friday through Sunday at Third Coast Volleyball.
The Huskies (11-14) enter the event as the No. 3 seed and will face No. 2 seed Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (9-8) Friday at 11 a.m. HBU will be led by its top pairs of senior

Kayla Armer and sophomore
Tori Hinojosa. Senior
Bailey Banks and freshman
Katya Silveira have been the Huskies' number three pair most of the season, with senior

Meagan Carter round out the HBU lineup.
No. 4 seed New Orleans (4-16) and No. 5 seed Abilene Christian (2-14) will kick off the event with a 9 a.m. start, with the winner facing top seed Central Arkansas (12-5) in the 1 p.m. match.
The tournament will run on a rolling schedule each day, with Saturday's and Sunday's schedule to be determined by the previous day's results.
Live scoring will be available on HBUHuskies.com. Third Coast Volleyball is located at 5652 Forney Dr., just a short distance from the HBU campus.
