COVINGTON, Louisiana – HBU was edged by New Orleans, 3-2, then rebounded by sweeping Austin Peay, 5-0, on the second day of the New Orleans Invitational Saturday at Dig Volleyball Complex.

In the win over Austin Peay, Wooten and Horton eased past Ginny Gerig and Cecily Gable, 21-9, 21-13 at number and Armer and Hinojosa routed Jenna Panning and Haley Turner, 21-8, 21-5, at number two. At number three, Banks and Silveira posted a 21-5, 23-21 win. Wheeler and Miller downed Kaylee Taff and Cori Theiss at number four, 21-14, 21-9. Fluke and Carter took care of Ashley Slay and Chloe Stitt, 21-17, 21-16.
The Huskies return to action at the Burrow Beach Bash hosted by Florida Atlantic. HBU plays Florida Gulf Coast Friday at 11 a.m., followed by Florida Atlantic at 3 p.m. The Huskies then face Webber International Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by Georgia State at 2 p.m.
