HBU responded again in the bottom of the third, when sophomore rightfielder Sierra Humphrey doubled to right center with one out. Janak followed suit with a single to centerfield. Shedd brought in Humphrey and moved Janak to second off of a single up the middle. The bases were loaded, after senior third baseman Kassie James walked. Bushman put down a bunt to score Janak, making it a one run ball game, 4-3.

Marist had the bases loaded with one out, when Kourtney Paul hit a sacrifice fly to left field to add a run, 5-3.

In its last chance, HBU came up big, as Janak started the seventh off with a single up the middle. A second baseman error put James on first and advanced Janak to second. Brooke Bushman drove in Janak. James got thrown out at home, but Bushman was able to reach third on the throw. Schroder came in clutch as she hit a shot up the middle to bring in Bushman for the tying run, 5-5.
