HOUSTON – HBU will take on crosstown foe Texas Southern in a non-conference baseball matchup and the Huskies' home opener Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Husky Field, the only home game before 13-straight on the road. The Husky Sports Network video broadcast will be available on HBUHuskies.com.

Brady Batten (0-0, 0.00 ERA), who threw two shutout innings of relief in his HBU debut against Baylor Friday, is expected to start for the Huskies (1-2). Senior outfielder

Righthander Peyton Schneider is the projected starting pitcher for TSU (1-1). Kamren Dukes (4-for-8) and Gaudencio Lucca (3-for-6) each hit .500 over the weekend, with Lucca hitting a home run and drving in a pair. Christian Sanchez homered and drove in three runs for the Tigers.
