EAST LANSING, Mich. – On Monday evening, HBU faces off against the second-ranked Michigan State Spartans at the Breslin Students Events Center as the Huskies face the highest-ranked opponent in the program's history. Husky fans can watch the game live on the Big Ten Network or listen to the action via the Legacy Sports Network audio broadcast with Lonnie King, available at HBUHuskies.com.

Junior point guard Braxton Bonds recorded the third triple-double in program history in the Huskies' (4-7) 100-65 home win over Barclay on Friday night. In that HBU win, the Huskies more than doubled the visiting Bears' rebound total, holding a 61-27 advantage on the boards. Freshman David Caraher posted his second-consecutive double-double, ending the night with 11 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.

Caraher and fellow freshman Ian DuBose are the two top-scoring freshman in the Southland Conference, averaging 15.2 and 11.4 points per game, respectively. As a team, the Huskies continue to be one of the top-rebounding teams in the nation, ranking 14th in rebounds per game (42.09) and third in offensive rebounding (15.82).

Michigan State (10-1) has been one of the top defensive teams to this point in the season, leading the nation in field goal percentage defense and holding opponents to just 33.3 percent shooting from the floor. The Spartans also rank near the top of NCAA Division I with more than eight blocked shots per game.

All five Michigan State starters are averaging at least 10 points per game, led by sophomore Miles Bridges at 15.1 per game. Freshman Jaren Jackson Jr. leads the Spartans in both rebounding (7.7 rpg) and in blocked shots (3.09 bpg), a category in which he's 14th in the country. In their last game, the Spartans defeated Oakland 86-73 in Detroit.

Following Monday's game, the Huskies will make their way to Nashville, Tenn. for their final non-conference game of the season against Vanderbilt on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 6:00 p.m.
