The Huskies got on the board with a three-spot in the third. Payetta led off with an infield single and scored on senior first baseman Andrew Alvarez's sacrifice fly. With two outs and no runners on, Saenz walked, Otten doubled to rightcenter and junior leftfielder Josh Leonhardt was hit by a pitch to load the bases, before Martinez delivered a two-run single to right to give HBU a 3-0 lead.

The Tigers got back to within one as Horace Leblanc led off with a single in the fifth and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jimenez.

Senior righthander Dylan Zarosky loaded the bases with no outs in the ninth, but struck out Andrew Moore, got Lazo to pop up to second, then struck out Jimenez look to end the game.
