Emily Mueller each picked up wins in the circle, while freshman shortstop
Savana Guidry led the HBU offense across the four-game tournament with in a .500/.667/.500 slash. Guidy finished 6-for-12 with one triple, three runs scored and two RBI, also stealing her team-leading fifth stolen base of the season.
On the season, Guidry paces the Huskies at the plate with a .462 batting average and five multi-hit games. Belovsky, batting .400, enters the weekend tilt on a five-game hitting streak.
In the circle, Belovsky anchors the staff with a 3-1 record and team-high 28 and two-third innings pitched. Senior
Shannon O'Connor (1-1) leads the team with a 4.40 earned run average. The two have also recorded one save each, respectfully.
The Tigers enter the weekend with a 4-5 record. TSU is led offensively by Haley Smith's .552 batting average. Smith, who owns a .552/.828/.618 slash, leads the team in hits (16), home runs (2), RBI (5) and walks (5). Lauren Rodriguez (1-3) owns a team-leading 1.99 ERA through four appearances and three starts, including two complete games.
The Huskies hold a staggering 51-5 record in the all-time series. The two teams split their two meetings last season.
Following Saturday, HBU will host Prairie View A&M in a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 1, starting at 2 p.m.
