HBU leads the all-time series, 40-20, but the two teams are meeting for the first time in 10 years, when HBU was a member of NAIA's Red River Athletic Conference and UIW was in NCAA Division II's Heartland Conference.
HBU (6-19 overall, 0-9 SLC) was swept in a three-game series at McNeese State, who was receiving votes in the latest USA Today poll.
Madison Vonhagel hit .429 to lead the Huskies on the week.

Nicole Shedd leads the team with a .352 batting average, as she has gone 25-for-71 with team highs of three home runs and 14 RBIs.
Melissa Herman, who is batting .313, is tops with 17 runs scored.
