Post-Tournament QuotesAssistant Coach Jordan Jeffers
On team winning tournament…"The girls played great all around. Our short-game was very tight and we hit it in the fairway a lot, which was huge. Our first round really set the tone for the entire tournament and today we finished strong.
On focus entering today…"Today we just wanted to take it one stroke at a time, one hole at a time. We tried to stay in the moment. We wanted to go about it just like we would any round, which is something we try to instill every day in practice. If we do that and go through our routine, then it doesn't matter what anyone else does."
On Brook Johnston and Aries Ramirez…"Brook and Aries played very well. Brook has been this close for two weeks now and I knew should would come out here and play really well. She hit the ball spectacularly. She also made some huge puts down the last few holes that kept her in the lead.
"Aries has been very consistent for us this year just like last year. We are really looking forward to them as we move on."
Senior Brook Johnston
On being the top individual finisher…"I am very happy with the way I played. I have been practicing hard, hitting the ball well and these greens played well with my game. My irons also really came through this tournament and helped me hit those greens."
