UCA leads the all-time series, 2-1, as the two teams met for the first time last season in Houston. The Bears are currently placed in the sixth and final playoff spot, just 0.027 winning percentage-points ahead of the Huskies.
After dropping last Saturday's doubleheader against Sam Houston State, HBU (14-22 overall, 8-10 SLC) took Sunday's series finale, 3-2. The Huskies scored twice in the bottom of the seventh for the come-from-behind win.

L. Schwirtlich leads the Huskies with a .409 batting average, as she has gone 52-for-127 at the plate. She has six doubles, three home runs, 29 runs scored, and 17 RBI. Both she and
Kirsten Schwirtlich have two triples. K. Schwirtlich is batting .393 and leads the Huskies with seven home runs and 28 RBI. Orsak (.383) leads the Southland Conference with 14 doubles.
Emily Mueller leads the pitchers with a 2.65 ERA, as she is 6-7 with 35 strikeouts and 39 walks. She has eight complete games and one shutout.
After taking a home conference series from Northwestern State last weekend, Central Arkansas (19-27 overall, 8-9 SLC) defeated visiting ULM, 7-6, in non-conference action Tuesday evening.
Briana Whisenhunt leads the Bears on the season with a .361 batting average (48-for-133), as she has 10 doubles, three triples, 29 runs scored, and 14 RBI. Sam Forrest, who is hitting .340, leads UCA with 53 hits, 12 doubles, eight home runs, 31 runs scored, and 40 RBI.
Kylee Studioso is 11-7 in the circle with a staff-best 3.64 ERA. She has nine complete games, two shutouts, and has struck out 146 batters compared to 47 walks.
After this week's series in Arkansas, the Huskies play their final non-conference games of the season with a doubleheader at the University of Houston on Wednesday, April 23 at 5 pm.
