Friday's match against the 'Roos of Kansas City is set for a 7 pm start at Sorrels Field, while Sunday's "Senior Day" match against Air Force will begin at 1 pm. The Huskies' five seniors will be honored prior to kickoff.
HBU leads the all-time series with Kansas City, 2-0-0, with both matches coming last season. HBU won 2-1 in Kansas City and 4-1 in Houston. Air Force leads the series with the Huskies, 4-2-2, and went 2-0-1 last season against the Huskies, winning both meetings at home and tying the Huskies, 1-1, in Houston.
HBU (2-10-2 overall, 1-7-0 WAC) concluded its final road trip of the season with 3-1 and 3-0 losses at Seattle and Utah Valley, respectively.
Patrick Toh leads the Huskies with six goals and 14 points.
Tobenna Uzo, who scored at Seattle, has nine points on three goals and three assists, while
Thilo Borgmann has eight points on a goal and four helpers.
Gustavo Alvarado has a team-best five assists.
Kevin Suarez and
Philip Poser have split time in goal. Poser is 2-3-0 with a 1.82 GAA, a .714 save percentage, and one shutout. Suarez is 0-7-2 with a 2.66 GAA and a .696 save percentage.
Kansas City (6-8-2 overall, 4-3-1 WAC), who currently sits in fourth place in the standings, won its fourth-straight match following a 3-1 win against Air Force.
Nick Cramer leads the team with four goals, nine points, and two game-winning goals, while Wes White has a team-best four assists.
Chris McGaughey is 6-8-2 in goal with a 1.28 GAA, a .764 save percentage, and two shutouts.
Air Force (6-6-4 overall, 2-5-1 WAC) is on a five-match winless streak (0-4-1) after a 3-1 loss at Kansas City last Saturday. The Falcons play at Incarnate Word Friday night. They are in seventh place right now and are on the outside looking in, but still have a chance to make the playoffs. The top six teams make the WAC Tournament.
Gus Jensen leads the team with nine points, as his three helpers are tied with Alex Frazier for the team lead. Zach Hill leads the Falcons with four goals and two game-winning tallies.
Jake Schenk has seen most of the action in goal and is 6-5-4 with a 0.89 GAA, a .843 save percentage, and six shutouts. Schenk leads the conference in save percentage and is second in GAA.
