THIBODAUX, La. – HBU women's soccer resumes their four-match road trip this weekend, when the Huskies play Nicholls Friday, Oct. 24 at 4 pm and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Sunday at 1 pm.

The series with Nicholls is even at 1-1-0, as athe Colonels defeated the Huskies, 1-0, last season in Houston. The Huskies won the inaugural meeting with the Islanders last season in Houston, 4-0.

HBU (5-6-3 overall, 4-1-2 SLC) won its third-straight match and earned its second-consecutive shutout with a 2-0 win at Central Arkansas Oct. 19. The Huskies are now 4-1-2 in their last seven matches.
 
Natalie Hager leads the team with five goals and 10 points, while Kristi O'Brien has four goals, one assist, and nine points. Rebekah Tovar leads the squad with four assists, as she has a goal to go along with six points.
 
Patty Walrath has seen most of the action in goal and is 5-5-2 with a 1.06 GAA, a .809 save percentage, and three complete-game shutouts. She has one shared shutout. Walrath has made 55 saves in 1102 minutes.

Nicholls (7-7-0 overall, 3-4-0 SLC) lost twice last weekend to begin a four-match home stand. The Colonels fell to Northwestern State Oct. 17, 2-1, and conference leader Stephen F. Austin, 3-1, Oct. 19.
 
Last season's conference Player of the Year, Spencer Valdespino, leads Nicholls with five goals and is second with 11 points. Jess Coates is tops with five assists and 13 points.
 
Taylor Mosley has seen most of the action in goal and is 3-6-0 with a 2.02 GAA, a .710 save percentage, and two shutouts. She has made 49 saves in 892 minutes.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (4-5-3 overall, 3-3-1 SLC) won its second-straight game and remained unbeaten in its last three matches (2-0-1) with a 2-1 win  over Abilene Christian Oct. 19. The Islanders host Sam Houston State Friday night.
 
Yvette Franco leads the team with four goals and eight points, followed by Alyssa Miller with six points on two goals and two assists.
 
Megan Delaney is 4-5-3 in goal with a 1.19 GAA, a .835 save percentage, and five shutouts. She has made 76 saves in 1138 minutes.

After this weekend's match, HBU concludes the road trip at Sam Houston State Friday, Oct. 31 at 6:30 pm. The Huskies close the regular season hosting Southeastern Louisiana on "Senior Day" Sunday, Nov. 2 at 1 pm.
